RESULT

When Vanguard Resources assumed facilities maintenance responsibilities for Boeing’s Kelly Field facilities in 2004, they hired and trained technicians from the former contractor. Working “hand in hand” with Boeing, Vanguard Resources accepted increased responsibilities, including compressed air plant operations and maintenance of Boeing’s laser etcher, GSE wash rack, paint hangar scaffolding, depaint floor coating, hangar floor coating and maintenance of six fire protection diesel engines. Vanguard Resources plays a significant role in helping Boeing save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emission. Vanguard replaced T-12 and 400W lamps with T-5 fluorescents and replaced “mule” gas vehicles with electric carts. “The end result to Boeing has been reduced cost and improved customer satisfaction.
